Template Issues

Post by cflbot »

I am running CMS Made Simple version 1.1
Problem started in version 1.0 and continues to be an issue.
The problem is that occasionally I will load the site and it will be stripped of all graphics, it will just put content in a list to the left.
I see this in the Admin as well either when I try to add a module that does not seem compatible with the newer versions or just all of a sudden when I click to go back to the main screen.

Maybe this is due to the fact that my server only allows 16MB of cache?
When I refresh it always cures it.

Speaking of compatible is there a quicker way to resolve some of these issues with the fact that some modules have code that are calling for FCKEditor and not TinyMCE? Guestbook 1.1.9 is an example

Current Status is that the later version seemed to resolve this. Thanks.

Hello,

many questions... Let's go from the starting point.

Please try to re(generate)install by uploading 1.1 and running the installation wizard again, following the install manual (chmod...), but without creating the database tables/objects to keep your current work. Clear the cache before.

Then, you can report what has not worked ok : not green lights etc. If all is ok, you can upgrade to 1.1.1. (latest stable today).
Please tell us more about your hosting and anything that might help diagnose.

Also, when this thing happens, immediately check your httpd error log.

Typically when no stylesheet is loaded, or you get no output, or weird things like that, a php error has occurred.  Checking that out would help.
