how to put banner in pages made with cms (?)

hi everybody, i'm Maurizio from Italy.
I found your CMS and i find it very useful and easy.
However, i have a problem:

i would like to put into homepage some fix banners (the web site is intended also for commercial stuff) that i have in the old actual version (www.fedeltadelsuono.net).
the two banners at left and right should appear also in the new site made with cms made simple.

how can i do?
do i have to modify the stileesheets? and if, where?

Convert existing template to CMSMS and insert same as now...

I would use a div layout for template tho...
