[Album] - how to split albums to multiple pages?

is there a way to have a certain amount of albums displayed per page?
lets say i have a category with 20 albums and i want it to display 5 per page...
i see there is code for that in the template but i think its only for the actual pictures.
would it be much work to adapt this to the catagories module?

Show a certain number of recently updated pictures

jep, i did.

as stated above this only works for the amount of pictures
not the amount of albums displayed per page.
