Dealing with Internet Explorer - Admin Login Problems

Post by mesaverde »

I don't know if others have had a problem using internet explorer and the admin panel.

The problem occurs when you edit a page, news item or any content and submit the changes. Internet explorer may kick you back to the login window instead of saving your changes. This is very frustrating when you've entered a lot of information as everything entered is lost.

It turns out the problem is caused when internet explorer won't save cookies from your website. It is easy to solve by changing the IE's internet options. From the tools menu, select Internet Options, in the options window select Privacy, select the Sites button, enter your site url and click allow.

This should take care of any permission problems with your site and best of all will allow the system to remember that you are logged into the admin panel.

Hope this helps. :D
