Add additional options to the cmsmslink plug-in for WYSIWYG editors.

Post by Ned Nowotny »

At a minimum, add a checkbox to the pop-up dialog to enable the user to specify that the "Menu" text rather than the "Title" text should be displayed by the link.  The plug-in would then add "menu='1'" as a parameter to the generated cms_selflink Smarty tag.

The plug-in would then need to display a proper hyperlink in the text area.  Currently, if you edit the raw HTML to add a "menu='1'" parameter manually to a cms_selflink Smarty tag, the WYSIWYG editor displays the text of the Smarty tag (e.g. "{cms_selflink page='113' menu='1'}") instead of a formatted hyperlink.

Note: This has already been submitted as an enhancement request.  However, I am repeating it here for discussion in the forums.
