Comments Causes Page Contents to Disappear

The page displays fine with the Add A Comment link at the bottom (and the comments function works fine). But when a comment is submitted, the contents of the page (except the title, menu, side columns and header) disappears. It seems to be directing back to the index page of the site, but is using the title of the page from which the comment was submitted -- very weird! (I'm using Comments 1.8.0 and CMSMS 1.0.4)

The only change I made to the settings is setting it to Moderate and adding the email address.

Two more questions:

Is there a way to change the text "Add A Comment"?

Can you add other text boxes? If so, how?

I think it has to do with your "Pretty URLs", which aren't working right - when they work properly, you don't see "index.php" in the URL.

Is there supposed to be a Captcha code image? I don't see one, but there is "code in the picture" field

Also, on my end, the comments are almost unreadable... the text size is extremely small .. I'm viewing the site on FireFox on a Mac...

I just used what was created in the install. I wanted to get it to work correctly first before trying to fix font size -- that's the least of my worries right now.

I've tried it with and without Captcha installed. It doesn't make a difference at all with the contents of the page displaying. But, yeah, why isn't the image appearing? Do I need to do something to get it to appear?

What I don't understand is why the URL changes upon submit. That makes me think that there is something in the code somewhere where it tells it where to go upon clicking submit. Why would it revert back to the homepage URL?
