Templates Question

Hey everybody,

Great project! I have been looking for ages for a content management system that focuses on static content rather than the more common news, blogs etc. This looks like it has a lot of potential to create great sites.

I have been having a look around the site, docs, wiki and demo site. I can only find the two templates that are included on the demo site. Are there any more?

I am sure that alot of people will be scared by having to make large adjustments to the CSS templates to personalise their site. If there were more templates with a bit of variation, it might make give an easier starting point

Are there any available?

Not that I'm aware of. I would really love if people would donate some nice simple easy-to-modify templates for others to use as a starting point, but haven't got anything yet.

Of course, the beauty of CMSMS is that you can grab any site layout from anywhere and easily import to work with your content.

If anyone has any they're willing to donate, I would seriously consinder including them in the default install. Let me know.

DITTO!!!

I've seen a TON of great sites using cmsms. I think it would be a GREAT gesture if people donated some of (or modificaitons of) their templates, especially for those of us that are design challened.

It doesn't seem like templates take up that much space, so a selection of 10 - 20 that come included with the default download would be GREAT!

They look really nice. I'm going to try and get them into the default database in the CSS management section (I hope they cascade well over the defualt theme... we'll see...

Now this may be a dumb question... but Patricia, aren't the changes you made CSS changes and not necessarily template changes. Maybe I'm confused.

Hi,

Has any progress been made on producing a range of sample templates that can then be tailored easier than starting on one of the standard ones?

I think that this would be a really good feature to have, is there a possibility of users contributing their templates to make them available to download?

Not really. The only way it's really going to get done is if users contribute templates to the cause. I'm definatly not a designer by any means...
