HI, I have used CMSMS for almost a year, and I have been easily changing the sites templates for every page and only needing to add a template to the system, which is so much better than having to change every page one by one.
anyways, my new design of my portfolio is http://www.wareriver.com
I'm now working on a new template mainly using a flash navigation menu, and I'm open to suggestions on it
(I'm also looking for a job/freelance work, so if you need someone, let me know)
thanks,
josh

I would like to have a "live" & "test" sites on my site
Could you please explain how you have set them up, run them and move the changes from the test site to the live site
thanks

Re: Still on CMSMS, but new templates for my portfolio site
Hi steve,
Well there are 2 options on how to do it, you can manually make 2 seperate CMSMS installations or the way i did it and just make a new page in the pages section and name the file or files(s)test.
When i make them, I just go to the pages section of the admin, click add new content, name it test, then their is an options tab, in that tab, i un select the option for keep in menu.
Then, u just need to know what the page link is, if you named it test, its either site.com/test (if you are using pretty urls), or site.com/index.php?page=test .
Then to make it live, i go into the page again, go to options and reselect show in menu. of course rename the page from test.
Does that make sense?
If you make 2 seperate manual installs, then all you have to do is modify the config.php file with the new live urls and Database links.
thanks,
Josh
