Strange errors in admin after moving cmsms

Post by PatDeLux »

Hi,
I have this strange behaviour:
I have successfully installed cmsms 1.08 in a subfolder of my host (www.idevlop.com/cms108).
Then after setting up the contents, I have copied everything to the root of my site, and I have modified the config.php file to reflect the folder and url changes.

Here is the problem:
In the .../cms108 version, everything works fine, but in the 'root' version, I have a few error messages when trying to modify a page in admin:
first
Image
then
Image
then
Image
Any idea of what's wrong ? or is that a bug ?
It does not prevent me from using cmsms, but I made all that work to have a *clean* install after the upgrades seemed to have messed my previous installation. And again I get these irritating errors.

The version in /cms108 still works fine. They're both using the same db.
As mentioned, the 'root' version is a copy from the version in /cms108 (made with cp -r in putty), except for a few adjustments in the config.php.

Thanks for your help.

Hello Patrick,

you have moved to the root folder and changed config.php carefully. OK.
But have you cleared the cache ?

BTW, you shoudn't point two CMSms installations to the same database and prefix.

Thanks Pierre.

Now I did, without any change in the behaviour.

I realize that...only the 'root' version is used now. I just left the old one in the subfolder in order to have a kind of quick restore.

Should I try to repeat the copy operation ?

You can rerun the full install in root without creating database tables/objects to get a fresh working generated config.php.

But backup first.
