Your have to place a module call with some parameters inside your content or template. Modules help tells you more about.

I use CMSms for the first time and thought installing a module should as easy as with eg Joomla...

Welcome on CMS made simple!
Have tried Joomla long time ago - not sure how it does work there.
But in CMSms installing is not displaying on frontend
. You have the freedom to place the module output where you want.
