Stucked on STEP ZERO. Help...

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Stucked on STEP ZERO. Help...

Post by fabiano »

Hi everybody,
I'm trying to install CMSMS to this server but without any success. I uploaded the whole package and I've created the config.php and make the tmp and upload dir writable ( CHMOD 777 ) but without any success.

When I write www.edilza.it a blank page came without any message.

here you can find more information about the server http://www.edilza.it/phpinfo.php

I deleted everything and uploaded and tried again several times but without success.
Can someone help me on face this problem.

am I doing something wrong?
thanks a ton
Fabiano

no it is not fixed!!!
That was just an idea why the index.php is empty after installation the first time. then i uninstalled everything and tried to install it again and the installation didnt work again.

i need to have a look at the install code to get the problem! When i find it, i will post it here!

Have you verified the contents of your install folder? I ask because I tried accessing some of the files that should be in your install folder and the system reports they cannot be found. For example:  http://www.edilza.it/install/schemas/extra.sql  This may be that your system is denying access to this filetype with a "file not found" error though, not sure. But it may be worth checking.

Here is what is in my install folder & subfolders:

ls -R install/
install/:
./  ../  images/  index.php  install.css  lib/  schemas/  templates/  upgrade.php  upgrades/

install/images:
./  1.gif    2.gif    3.gif    4.gif    5.gif    false.gif  red.gif  yellow.gif
../  1off.gif  2off.gif  3off.gif  4off.gif  5off.gif  green.gif  true.gif

install/lib:
./  ../  classes/

install/lib/classes:
./  CMSInstaller.class.php      CMSInstallerPage2.class.php  CMSInstallerPage4.class.php  CMSInstallerPage.class.php
../  CMSInstallerPage1.class.php  CMSInstallerPage3.class.php  CMSInstallerPage5.class.php

install/schemas:
./  ../  createseq.php  extra.sql  index.html  initial.sql  schema.php

install/templates:
./  ../  header.tpl  installer_end.tpl  installer_start.tpl  page1.tpl  page2.tpl  page3.tpl  page4.tpl  page5.tpl

install/upgrades:
./                    upgrade.13.to.14.php  upgrade.19.to.20.php*  upgrade.24.to.25.php  upgrade.4.to.5.php
../                  upgrade.14.to.15.php  upgrade.1.to.2.php    upgrade.25.to.26.php  upgrade.5.to.6.php
index.html            upgrade.15.to.16.php  upgrade.20.to.21.php  upgrade.26.to.27.php  upgrade.6.to.7.php
upgrade.10.to.11.php  upgrade.16.to.17.php  upgrade.21.to.22.php*  upgrade.27.to.28.php  upgrade.7.to.8.php
upgrade.11.to.12.php  upgrade.17.to.18.php  upgrade.22.to.23.php  upgrade.2.to.3.php    upgrade.8.to.9.php

Hello Fabiano,

Yes, same from here. The HTTP headers come from an IIS webserver. Either you know there is no problem from IIS, or you should call a IIS expert to make this sure.

I don't know much about PHP and PHP on IIS, but may be your (somewhat unset) session.cookie_* PHP configuration parameters prevent the installer to work.

I was trying o find something wrong in the webserver...

but the sessions are enable, if you try to go http://www.edilza.it/phpinfo.php
seems everything's fine... could be only a privilegies problem?

This link now gives a 404 error.
But the last time I had doubt about your session.cookie_* (un)settings.

You can try to run some other session aware PHP-MySQL software like PhpMyAdmin using IIS support forums. When it works fine, you can begin to install CMSms.

has your tmp folder rights 775?

My problem is solved now! T-online doesnt support files like bla^bla%28bla.php so smarty cannot write files.
