[solved] Getting Ready to Publish to 'live' site

Hi all,

I'm just about at the stage where I can 'make live' the site that I'm working on, but what is the process of doing this. The site as it is stands is in a sub-directory e.g. http://www.mysite.co.uk/cms/, so how do I publish it to the 'live' area e.g. http://www.mysite.co.uk/?
Do I have to physically move the contents of e.g. cms up a level?

There are two possible ways.

To the first you can set a .htaccess file so every access to http://www.mysite.co.uk/ will be redirect to http://www.mysite.co.uk/cms/

The other way is physically moving like you said. You can found more informations here

It would be good to have things set-up so that you had a 'preview' site that editors could work on, then once their happy they would then 'publish' it to the 'live' site.

Hi folks,

content staging and live publishing (workflow, versionning...) in is the roadmap for v2.0.
BTW, about your "moving upfolder" issue, I prefer the .htaccess way but YMMV.
