config.php in another folder

Hi all, I'm new to this forum.
I've been already working with CMSMS and encountered no problem. This time I need to work an a remote public folder with no writing permissions and no shell access. But that server hosts another folder which CHMOD permissions. ("htdocs" the first, "work" the second)

Can I tell CMSMS to write and access config.php on that path? (external).

Can you install everything in "work" ?
Can CMSms even run if the cache (and others) aren't writable ?

See fileloc.php to try to hack the config.php location.
I'd rather have another hosting service. Good luck.
