Do you use a redirect with .htaccess? Have you checked config.php ? Maybe there's something wrong with login.php so you could try to upload it once again from a fresh install

Well... you can try to overwrite the software with a fresh reinstall without creating database tables&objects : you keep your db content, but reupload the standard CMSms distribution package and let the installer make everything clean for you.
