Install help with Windows XP

Post by loopie »

My workstation broke that I had my personal CMSMS system running on and I need to do a reinstall.

I have installed IIS,  Installed CMSMS 1.8, MySQL 5.0, PHP, Configured php.

I have created the CMS DB, adding the user,..
Created a blank config.php file, made it writable by IIS.

Now I am stuck.  I don't see the next step in the install as far as what to do.
I look in the install directory and I don't see any install.php script or anything to run.
I have put in a phpinfo.php script in the install directory and it works fine.

What is the next steps?  Do I need an ADO driver for MySQL, or some other DB driver?

thanks,
  Loopie.

Managed to run C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\cmsmadesimple\install\install.php and started the CMSMS install.

Completed properly with site up and running.

Did a restore of my old DB which came from a 1.05 install.

Site now fails to run.

Removed CMSMS from system, found my older CMSMS 1.05 zip file, extracted it, ran the
C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\cmsmadesimple\install\install.php again.
It created all the tables, etc.
Site back up again.
Restored my DB again from Backup.
Site now fails again.

What is the proper method for importing a db?

thanks,
