How to install CMSMS on A USB Stick

Post by Barking-Gecko »

Hi CMSMS people

I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to install CMSMS on a USB Stick

So far I have done the following:

1. Installed XAMPP lite to root of the usb Stick

2. I have created a directory called public_html in a separate folder

3. I have extracted CMSMS version 1.08 to public_html (can I just extract to the root of the usb disk instead?)

Can anyone confirm that what I have done is correct, or not?

Basically I have been more or less  following the FTP install guide.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

1. Delete any file in [DRIVE_USB]:\xampplite\htdocs
2. Extract CMSMS in [DRIVE_USB]:\xampplite\htdocs
3. Start xampp_start.exe in [DRIVE_USB]:\xampplite
4. Open your browser to http://127.0.0.1
5. Install CMSMS
