Safari for Windows

Post by KO »

I just found out that there will be one more tool developing and testing CSS layouts for Windows.  :D
Hopefully one headache less in future. Or one more ;)

As a long time Mac User I've been constantly underwhelmed by Safari... I keep wishing it would die a death... and they'd realise that FireFox would be a better bet

I'd rather Steve and co spent more time sorting out the DAMN FONTS problem first...

I can't see why anyone on Windows using FireFox would bother with it...

;D
Quick check - it seems to work - occationally. Well it's beta. But at least there is way to test websites without buying another computer just to test Safari problems for "Die Hard Safari user" customers. If it behaves even little bit similar than Mac version.

I`ve tried the Safari for windows, although its a beta, its crap, i have no other words for it, its buggy as hell, and crashes half the time, it doesnt event work on most windows machines you install it, it should be renamed to pre-alpha, seriously, i like Apple allot but Safari 3.05 beta for Windows is crap at the moment, i hope the final is better, but they would need to do allot of work for that, and this beta should be a pre-alpha release.

I was pretty dissapointed in Apple releasing such a public beta.

The only reason I can think they've even bothered is that the iPhone may require it to download updates etc as it's in built browser is Safari as well...
