[Solved] Using content across multiple pages

Post by tophers »

First - love the CMS. My first use of one, and it's a joy to work with.

My question is this: I have content on a page that I need to reuse on several other pages (the content is presented to viewers under different menu items). Is there a way to do this other than using Global Content blocks? I have quite a few pages to re-purpose and GCBs might be a bit unwieldy, both during development and later on when the client takes over content updates.

The site is for a Convention Centre, and the same content needs to be displayed for General Interest, Planners and Attendees (if this helps at all!).

Thanks for any help you provide.

Do you mean on the side or in the main {content} box or a second content box?...

Have you look to Content Aliases?

In the main {content} box - basically duplicating pages within a site so serve up information to different audiences. Right now the plan is straight duplication, with no mods to the content.

I hadn't - this might be what I'm looking for. Downloading the module right now. I'll post back if it solves things for me. Thanks!

Thanks - Content Alias does the trick. Although if anyone knows how to use multiple Content Blocks with it I'd appreciate it - so far it just duplicates the main content in both the Main and Sidebar blocks (but I'm working around it).
