Sitemap that works with Google

I made a sitemap in CMSMS and uploaded it to Google, but got an error message saying that it was not in a format supported.

Are there any plans for a sitemap plugin that will work with Google?

(I noticed that several CMS are listed at http://code.google.com/sm_thirdparty.html, but not CMSMS)
