Very weird: config.php

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Very weird: config.php

Post by rockarena »

Where is this file? The installer is asking for it and it should be in the directory but I can't seem to find it. So it seems it's not inside any of the available stable release downloads.

edit: no answer yet. PLease, I really want to use this CMS but really there is no config.php file to be found anywhere so I can't do much without it.

Create an empty file with any text editor and save it to C:\wamp\www\BOM\config.php
Setup will write the necessary parameters to this file, it needs to exist to start the process.

Probably good idea. With comment that this will be edited by installer during install.

Hmm, diff should not contain config.php. But probably you were right. Some users they dont know only upload diff files will do this.

Another idea - release contains an empty config.php. After finish writing config.php there will be create a backup of this. If users now overwrite this config.php with empty one, install wizard could ask if they wanna to restore this backup.

Hello,

I'd rather the installer prompt : "Hey ! I can't find the empty config.php file you should have created (in xyz path) according to the installation guide. Please create it and chmod it as needed".

And add a config_php for rename only?
Similar to favicon_ico.
