Hi All,
I'm taking a look at CMSMS and it seems like an excellant product. I'm wondering if it's suitable for my needs. Please let me explain.
I plan to run multiple websites for clients that can all edit and change their own content. What I'd love to be able to do is to have the ability to offer different template layouts to each client while at the same time being able to control what each user can/cannot change from some central admin console. Can CMSMS do this? Are there working examples of this available?
Thanks,
Bearaman
Can CMSMS Handle This?

Re: Can CMSMS Handle This?
Hello,
If you can find an easy answer, you may try to package a "standard customer ready" installation (files+database) with your same admin account inside. The deployment would take 5 min for each customer.

I've read and may be written about this in the forum. The case was more specify. Try to search for "several domains" or "multiple installs" or "single install" or a mix. It was about a tip to detect the requested domain and respond accordingly inside a single install.bearaman wrote: multiple websites for clients ... from some central admin console.

Re: Can CMSMS Handle This?
Hi Pierre,
Yea and the link to the discussion is here: http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.ph ... 794.0.html - it seems that you can share the database with multiple CMSMS installs but that each domain requires it's own install. I guess it's better that way, avoids possible data and software conflicts. Has there been any issues reported with using the same database for multiple sites?
Thanks for your help Pierre!

Hello again Bearaman,
I think you have well understood everything.
I haven't seen any problem in database sharing with tables prefixes.
Have fun !
