How to upgrade from 1.04 to latest version (1.06)

Post by Anastasis »

I have looked around but not been able to find out how you go about upgrading from my current installed version (1.04) to the latest version available (1.06). 1.04 was my original installation from about 3 months ago.

I don't want to mess anything up so would appreciate some direction on this and also know if I will have to reinstall any additional modules should I have them as extras to the default install.

TIA

Anastasis,

what I did on a test-site, was FTP-ing 1.0.6 directly over 1.0.4 and the go in the URL of your browser to, domain/install/upgrade.php

The upgrade script updates all. Others normally backup all scripts first and do a backuip of the content as well, basically running the upgrrade.php does it all, without having to change anything to added modules.

Thanks Ronny. I am in the process of making some backups - just to be sure - in readiness for updating.
