1.0.6: _/install/index.php?sessiontest halting

Hi,

(Since I'm stuck here: http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.php/topic,12375.0.html), I decided to upload a clean "Niihau" install. I went through the download, unzip, upload, chmods of folders, upload of config.php and chmod that as well.

So now I'm supposed to goto my root, to run the 5-step installation. It is on http://www.greenlight-consultancy.nl/site. It forwards well to http://www.greenlight-consultancy.nl/site/install/index.php?sessiontest=1&, (or maybe that =1& is wrong?).

But then it halts. I get...

Checking permissions and PHP settings

...And the rest of the page remains blank.

This does not seem like a Database problem to me. That comes only later. Is it PHP related?

You are not stuck there. Somebody has kindly offered help. Just answer his questions so he can actually help you. There is no need to start another thread.

Is it PHP related?

This is what it seems to be. Can you run without problem another PHP app ? Are PHP sessions server side enabled ?

Please tell us more (hosting environement -PHP version and settings-, install method used...) to easy diagnostic.
