FCKeditor Error - XML Response

Hi,

I seem to be hitting a dead-end with this error, i'm getting a "The server didn't send back a proper XML response" dialogue box that just has "OK" button on it, after pressing "OK" FCKeditor loads but I can not see any images on the server.

I have tried:

• Uninstalled and re-installed FCKeditor
• Checked permissions

I also found the following post http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.php/topic,10912.15.html which come to the conclusion that you have to add

setting session.auto_start = 1

to the php.ini... However I do not understand what the php.ini is, where can I find this file?, how do I change, of course if this is the fix?

Can anybody shed some light on this rather irritating error/issue?
