Talk about writing modules and plugins for CMS Made Simple, or about specific core functionality. This board is for PHP programmers that are contributing to CMSMS not for site developers

Performance and scalability

Post by NateOne »

I am looking for information on how well CMS Made Simple scales. Something to the tune of about 1,500-2,000 installations between two servers (network based load balancing).  Whether they would be separate installations or somehow a partially shared app (assuming it is possible) does not matter. Just looking for some hard evidence of performance.

To keep to this concise I was asked to find an open source replacement for a pos in house built cms. And was given about 24 hours to turn is some recommendations with supporting data. I have used and love CMS Made Simple for personal freelance projects.

You can try different server stress tools like WAPT

There's a 30-day trail version available.

I've made it with 20 users. A main result (for me) is that CMSms can deliver (only?) 2.1 pages per second (without caching).

Hello !

I'd stress to compare :
-CMSms "out of the box (without caching)",
-CMSms with Cyberman's cache module,
-CMSms with webserver caching feature, ala mod_cache.

Here is another thread on benchmarking CMSms performance :

Another one :
