fetch text from link and use in form field

I want to create a list of links on a page and pass the information to a field in a form
To clarify
on page 1
booking link  (eg  course1)
booking link  (eg  course2)
When the user clicks the link they go to a booking form - the text eg course1 populates the first text field in the form ( form builder module)
I have had a look at fetch url and form builder seems to have a use udt option.
But I can't see an easy way.
Has anyone done this already or does anyone know the best way to go about this?

Have you tried to include this output in form builder module? I mean that link output should be a part of your form. IMHO this module supports forms with multiple pages, which can depended on choosed input  ...
