CMSMS Modules and plugins

Hi,

I have searched hi and low but can find any instructions on how to install and make use of the modules available in the "Development" area. Are these like plugins or is there is separate area for plugins that offer additional tools to CMSMS?

Plugins are installed by putting them in the plugins folder.
