I'm using CMS 1.0.5. I have installed the program and created my templates.
I'm wondering if there is a way to just add the content to a page for users to edit. I would like to be able to use my menu's already created on the page and just have the content area available for editing. I have worked with Ektron and I know that you inserted the content with a tag into the actual pages. Is there a way to do this in CMS Made Simple.
For example: I want them menus to be different on each page and have the content availabe in the CMS. Can I just call the content to my page with a tag?
Also, how do I find out the page id?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
questions about page content and self linking?
Re: questions about page content and self linking?
If you want people only to be able to edit pages, you should give that group specific rights, "Add pages" should be unchecked otherwise they will be able to add pages. "Modify page structure" should be unchecked as well, otherwise they will be able to change the overall strucure. "Modify any page" should be unchecked (important!!), otherwise you won't be able to set specific pages to be edited by different people. If this one is checked the users belonging to that group will by default be able to modify ALL pages.
For different menus on different pages, you could use different templates for every specific look.
