Sorry if the Subject header isn't that Descriptive...
using CMS 1.0.4 (on both MAC and PC, FireFox, Safari, and IE7)
A website I've been working on reverted back to almost a weeks worth of changes. I worked at it today at my day job (PC) and went home, looked at the site on Safari, and I saw a "weeks" worth of work lost. It's like it reverted back to last Friday night. I refreshed and also had a buddy look at the site on his end, and he's seeing the same thing... last weeks work. Every night, I always double check the work I did at my day job just to see if it shows up right in Safari...
Wha happened? Any ideas? I'm so completely clueless! Is it a CMS thing or could it be a prob with the Server? Unfortunatly I didn't do a MySQL backup (or a full back up of files from the FTP) since last week.
Are there security or reliabilty issues I should be concerned with in using CMSms? I really like using it, but I gotta be sure I won't run into issues like this..
Thanks for your help
Website reverted back a weeks worth of changes
Re: Website reverted back a weeks worth of changes
Is this on a hosting account? I would start asking them questions. CMSMS's changes are done incrementally, so everytime you make a change, the database is modified. If you're back a week, then sometime happened to the database directly. See if your host reverted to a backup for some reason (catastrophe, data loss, upgrade went south). It really can't be CMSMS... at least not in anyway I can think of.

Re: Website reverted back a weeks worth of changes
Thanks Ted... I was sort of thinking the same thing too...
Unfortunately I won't know until tomorrow, but I just figured I cover all bases and see if there was a CMSms Issue.
I'll post back when/if I get any answers from the service provider.

Re: Website reverted back a weeks worth of changes
Sure enough, I got an email at work today from the Host Server (before I even mentioned my problem) saying they just did an upgrade on their servers... I'm waiting to hear back from them to see if they can retrieve my latest database. I'm about as sure as you are Ted that it's NOT a CMSms issue... would've been nice if the Host would've let me know that they were doing upgrades so I could at least back up the DB.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
