Speedup my site

Hello togehter...

as I already wrote, great CMS   But some questions are remaining. I'm using the news module, just
4 simple entries in it, but when I'm clicking the first time on the news head on my sidebar, the browser
waits ~5 to 10 seconds to load the news' body. Sometimes, when I select a page on my site, the load
process for the page also takes >5 seconds. This last "problem" not always happen.

So my question, how can I optimize the speed, thanks for any idea

PS : I'm using DSL, IE 7 & FF 2.0, my Site : www.software.maninweb.eu (in german)

Cool, fast response, thanks for the links, I'll have a look. And thanks for 'the flowers'

And the tipps works ! I uninstalled the ThemeManager, ModuleManager and FCK, site
works now much faster
