I have just downloaded the latest edition of Simple CMS. I am having problems installing it.
I was using FTP Filezilla to transfer the files, never heard of the other one you mentioned.
The first time i did it the installation pages came up and i did a complete install, but i couldnt do anything with the admin.
Now all i get is Forbidden 404 Error.
I installed it to the root folder. I have The latest PHP, MySQL and Apache installed on my machine.
I also attempted to install it on another site and was told by my hoster that I should add a folder public_htm.
I installed to the root of that site and to public_htm and got the following error.
Forbidden

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Please help.

Installation Problems with Windows
Re: Installation Problems with Windows
There seems to be some problem with you website setup.
You say you installed in the root folder, but http://www.cygnetworld.com/index.php cannot be found.
So, it seems your root folder is not your webroot...

Re: Installation Problems with Windows
Hi thanks
I realised my extraction wizard hadn't extracted all the files so i extracted the remainder and then reinstalled the CMS, I'd like to say that solved the problem, but it made no difference whats so ever, so I'm really stumped. I'd like to be able to use this CMS system, i don't like the sound of Putty though.

Re: Installation Problems with Windows
It looks like you uploaded to the wrong directory on the server, because index.php cannot be found.
Try placing a "simple" html/text file in the webroot and make sure you can access that using (for instance) http://www.cygnetworld.com/test.html
