Managing my Existing Site's pages and templates.

This program would be great IF I were creating a site from scratch, but my goal is to give managers access to my current pages and enable them to edit or upload only certain files.  I have Dreamweaver Templates which they are to modify and an existing site structure.  As it is, it seems impossible to use CMS for my existing site's files, since CMS wants to edit pages within its own directory *I think*.

Other folders at the same level as CMS are not seen. So adding or subtracting files to the general site at any level doesn't seem possible. Only folders within the CMS directory or config locations? are seen. Odd.

This problem is major and not resolved. the manager pages and file layout pages do NOT see any of the current files on the site except the cms images folder imbedded in the images folder.

I don't know now if it is possible to use this excellent program for what I need and want to do...

It's not designed to work with existing files.  In fact, it doesn't work with files as all for content.  It's all in the database.

To be honest, there are not many systems that will do this that I'm aware of.  Macromedia CPS does, but it's a mess...

iprosite.com does, but I can't install it. It doesn't have an admin login option for setup.

I would like to add a very simple upload button to one of my pages. I have the code and the PHP file used to handle the file to be uploaded. How (or where)can i add this to my site?  http://www.homerhino.co.uk/index.php?page=testing

your existing site would need to be converted to (created "from scratch" inside of) cms made simple in order to use cmsms to manage your site content or templates....

if that's something you're not ready to do.... have you looked at adobe (macromedia) contribute ??
