password not working or I did it wrong?

Can anyone please point me in the right direction. Is there anywhere I can check the password I typed in for the admin account? I wrote it down but it doesn't work. Thanks.

the passwords aren't stored "readable", but encrypted instead. If you check the following post, you'll find a way to reset the password.

Unfortunately I've never worked with databases so really haven't a clue how to do that. I guess I will have to start again!

Mandy,
try to execute the linked SQL code in phpmyadmin if your have such an access to your database.
And stay away form odd characters (difficult to type) in login names and passwords (-_`µ...)
