I tried installing the Flash Video Player module and my admin template was gone!
Hi yall,
I tried installing a new module for flash video player, but it didn't work and removed the template (look) of my admin section.
I was also getting mysql flvp error (module name)
So i deleted it from an ftp software and the error messages were gone.
However the admin look isn't back - it seems like ms dos layout or something (I cant believe i said ms dos - remember that)
Can anyone help me get my template back - normal admin look?
Thanks
JB
Basically its just a white screen with blue links with all links aligned on the left side

if this happens, you should search through hour httpd error logs, and/or do a search on the page for the word 'Error' and see if there's anything that can help.
However, this module has been under active development and a new version should be coming out today or tomorrow. You could always try the svn version though.

It should be in the 'apache2/logs' directory but I have no access to it. Neither found any trace of error massage on the frontend (It works without problem). Maybe it worth to try to reproduce the situation on my local machine on which I have the suitable access rigths. Oh, before I forgot to mention I'm using the CMSMS v1.02 MLE.calguy1000 wrote: if this happens, you should search through hour httpd error logs, and/or do a search on the page for the word 'Error' and see if there's anything that can help.
I was mistified by the version number 1.0.1 and driven by curiosity.calguy1000 wrote: However, this module has been under active development and a new version should be coming out today or tomorrow. You could always try the svn version though.
I also only want the admin look back and not intrested enough to suffer with the FLVPlayer module.soulja90 wrote: i dont want to install flash player- i just wanted my look back for the admin section. Any help would be nice.

ah, two issues then.
The FLVPlayer module depends on the CGExtensions module.
And both modules require CMS version 1.0.5

I had the same thing happen to me...and THEN I saw the dependencies on the CGExtensions module in the Help for this module. It might be helpful if you noted this dependency in other places Calguy...it would surely help people to not freak when they see there Admin go belly up!calguy1000 wrote: ah, two issues then.

Re: I tried installing the Flash Video Player module and my admin template was g
Now how does it work? I have a flash video player installed in my uploads directory and a directory for my flv files. I can't get the video player to show up on a page. I get "Keywords: " with a textinput box and a "Submit" inside a text input box. Then a link for
Get the Flash Playerto see this movie followed by the information for the movie I'm trying to play. When I installed the module it was called Flash Video Player but in the menu its called Flash Video Manager. Is this really the same thing? I have CGExtensions installed. I just want to be able to ad video.

Re: I tried installing the Flash Video Player module and my admin template was g
Hi,
I mistakenly installed the FLV Player module, without the knowing that it was dependent on CGExtensions. Now my admin section seems to be displaying without a stylesheet, and is unworkable.
I have tried FTP'ing into the site and deleting the FLVPlayer module, but it keeps coming up as an error message.
Any ideas how I can fix this? I understand this question (or very similar) has been asked before, but I am out of answers.
Cheers,
Paul

Re: [solved] Flash Video Player module and my admin template was g
Fixed it - all you need to do is install the CGE extensions module.
Which is a very simple solution to a few hours panic....
