Upcomming events list not showing in date order

I have a calender showing all of the race events comming up for our 5k challenge.  The problem I'm having is when I add new events to the calender they always show at the bottom of the list instead of in the order by date.  Why is this happening.  If you want to see a sample the website is here mercerhealth5kchallenge.com
