page alias not working

I'm very new to cms made simple so please bear with me...

I've created a new page and set the alias to "test". However, the URL doesn't work when I try to access the page.

My web root: http://localhost/test/cmsmadesimple/
Page URL: http://localhost/test/cmsmadesimple/test.html

But it just gives me a 404 error...

Am I missing something?
