News and Memory

Hi all,

I've a huge amount of news items which requires more and more memory to display (I've set php memory up to 48M to see news - admin side I mean). Is there a way to avoid that or limit the number of news displayed, like NMS (where you can choose the number of users you want to see per pages).

If not, maybe think about it for the next release..

there is the eoption number (or numbers i don't remember) in the news tag to specify how many news to display.
{news number="5"} for example.  Browse the tag help to see all options of the news tag

48MB?!! For shame! 
For how many news does the minimal limit 8MB suffice anyway?

For info : I've about 200 news items.

Another problem maybe linked to this one : I'm trying to make some more categories to make it clearer to manage. But after 14 categories, the module bugs : whatever I try to do, it asks me to download or open "moduleinteface.php".

Actually :

I've 13 categories (2 principals and 11 sub-cat') but when I try to make a new one, it asks me to open "moduleinterface.php".
After that, whatever I do with the news module, it asks me the same until I delete the last category created directly in MySQL (via phpmyadmin).

You mean pagination. No. You have to hack source.

If not, maybe think about it for the next release..

That thing about moduleinterface.php is odd...any idea what's going on?
