Guestbook 1.1.9 installed, but can't post anything...?

Hello everybody,

I just installed Guestbook 1.1.9.

Guestbook is implemented as a new page with content = guestbook. I can see guestbook on my site, I can do anything with this. When I wanted to insert a message via the site, it won't be posted... Even i can't see the message in the admin-panel. But when I post a message via my admin-panel, it works... Show message directly is on.

Why doesn't it work via my site?

shownow=1 is the correct setting, not correct=true. In the example it says true, but the option-list shows 0/1.

I know, but i can't change that anywhere?

I made a new page with {cms_module module="Guestbook" number="5" shownow="1" smiley="1"}, but this doesn't work too...

After that, i tried it on my localhost and it doesn't work there too

what if you use the following call:

Code: Select all

{cms_module module="Guestbook" number=5 shownow=1}

So without the quotes around the numeric fields. If that works, you can wrap smiley and captcha in again. Just to be sure.

I installed it after your post and have no problems inserting the entries.

Really strange, but i uninstalled Guestbook and installed it again and it works...

Maybe I did something that guestbook didn't work anymore...?

I've seen reports like this in the past when people removed fields from the guestbook form.
This was changed a couple of version ago though; with the current version you should be OK as long as you keep the name and message fields unchanged.
