I like the color scheme, but the blue-grey background makes the black text a bit hard to read on my monitor.

She's right.  It's even harder on the darker blue background.  Consider using a more contrasting text color.  The graphic design is lovely, though.  My only concern would be accessibility with a design like that.

I like your images except the colors are not very helpful in reading the text. You may want to lighteb up the text!
