PostreSQL 8?

This is a spinoff of the postgreSQL compatibility thread where my question is somewhat buried.

Is PostgreSQL 8 supported?  They're all the way up to 8.2.3 now.  I haven't checked the news lately, but about 16 months ago it was looking like the future of mysql is uncertain (re: Innobase acquired by Oracle), while postgres on the other hand improved their performance, thus eliminating one of the main advantages that mysql has always had (although even that is an illusion because it's only fast if you aren't using InnoDB for more advanced and secure features .... which btw everyone should be using lol).

Also, is there a list of modules that don't work with postgres or other known issues?
