help to include a site created

Post by marlenecu »

Hi everybody:

I'm totally new on this. I successfully installed the CMS in my server and I get to open the Admin site and everything, but, I'm trying to include my site in there and I can't find how to do it. The main page, templates, and everything is from CMS, but I can't see my site. What do  I have to do? Please tell me...

Thanks in advance

Do you see the site when you do "preview site"? Or can you provide more info, URL f.e.?

Yes, when I click on Site Preview, I can see de CMS site example, but not mine. That's why i was wondering if I had to copy my real site in a different folder.

thanks for the help

marlenecu,

did you copy your installation to adifferent folder, as the site is being pulled from the config.php. So if you move your site you should change the config.php. What do you mean with you see another installation. If you press preview site, you should see the site in which you are logged in as an admin. If you have changed some settings in a given template, you should assign some content pages to that template. Until you do so, you'll see the default content with the standard template.

Hi there:

I can't see my site yet. I copied every CMS file in their right folders, I made changes in templates, etc and when I click View my site, I can see what I did, BUT, my real site looks the same, without any changes.

For example...my View Site link is www.marlene.com/test
My real site link is www.marlene.com/sitefortest

I can see changes in www.marlene.com/test but I can't in www.marlene.com/sitefortest

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong??

Thanks

What do you mean with copy? Did you copy the installed environment to a different folder as wll. If so, you should change your config.php.
