Hi,
Have installed this module, but there doesn't seem to be any help how to integrate with a page...

Anyone any ideas?

I think BlogsMadeSimple is in a very early state right now. I'm sure the developer would welcome your feedback.

Please file this bug here: http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/tracker/?a ... unc=browse

Hope this helps,

Elijah
Note: I don't have time to take on any more projects. I'm quite busy. I may be too busy to reply to emails or messages. Thanks for your understanding. :)

need to login to the forge separate from the forums... then you'll see 'submit new'... (on the above link, which goes directly to the bug tracker for the project)

the main project page is here..http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/projects/blogms/

I had the same experience as you're, but I discovered that you have to first set admin group rights before you get the adminpage for Blogs Made Simple.
So fare I got, but then again i put this tag {cms_module module="Blog" show="everything"} in a content page en then nothing happens.
I wonder how do I put the articles to that i can use this module? Anyone got any ideas?

I'm sorry that I'm so busy at the moment that I cannot help very much. But it puzzles me how many problems people have with the module. When I do a fresh install, and adds some cateogries and entries, they do show op, even with the simplest of calls like {cms_module module='blogs'}.
I'll have to investigate further.

Sorry...

i have the same problem, but no solution for it.

I installed it, then made new category, created a new entry. After that i make a new page (location: content/page/Add New Content) and insert the tag (shown below)

{cms_module module='Blogs' show="everything"}

this case the page is empty, but i don't know why?

Also i filled next tables in Content/blogs made simple. categories and entires, both.

so, what shall i do?

anybody?

As I've said before, I'm so sorry to hear of the trouble people are having with the module. I have yet to see the problem myself, and I have installed on both Linux and XP-servers.
I know it's quite a request... but if someone had a site with a non-functional blogs 0.2.0 module on, and I could have both cmsms-admin-rights and ftp-acces, I might be able to do some debugging which could straighten out the problem. But as I said, I know it's quite a thing to ask...

If anybody's up for it, PM me here in forum, or mail me directly at morten@poulsen.org

I would really like to get the module up to speed for as many people as possible...

Best regards

Great news guys... I've had some time with a cmsms installation on which blogs did not work... and I think I fixed most problems (not promising everyone, though).
My preliminary changes are in svn, and I'll clean it up for a 0.2.1 release very soon.

Thank you for your patience... I hope you'll give Blogs Made Simple another go!

Best regards

I think we ended up using the news module instead as a blog and that worked out very nicely.  My personal thanks to those who have shared their work and time with the community for the betterment of CMSMS.

Sorry to hear that I lost users in the mean time, but a new and freshly bugfixed version 0.2.1 has just been released. Please have a try and see if it works better. It really should.

I had blog display problems with CMSMS v.1.0 and BlogMS 0.2.0. CMSMS v.1.0.8 and BlogMS 0.2.1 works fine.

There seems to be a bug with the deactivate feature, "Aktiv" green checkmark. It removes the item from the entries list (unexpected behavior) but doesn't remove the posting. I now don't know how to edit this posting since it's been removed from the list.
