[solved] Album - Templates works odd
[solved] Album - Templates works odd
I'm trying some of the other templates for Album (have mostly used "separate_thumbs"), but I have some problems with them. I think I have missed something during installation. I searched the forum but didn't found anything that seem to match my problems.
First
I get all thumbnails in a long vertical row.
Second
When I press one thumb the page starts to act crazy. Please have a look at the link below. Examples of templates where this is happening is greybox, lightbox and thickbox.
look here for seeing it. I use greybox here:

Anyone having any idea what is missing or wrong?

Re: Album - Templates works odd
Dennis,
what is the stylesheet you attached to the "Album" and what version are you running. In the latest version "Album default stylesheet" is installed, but also an old one was available, probably from an earlier install. If you have both stylesheets, try the other one. I had a problem recently bacause of the switch to the new stylesheet and had to add some entry in its stylesheet. So the one ending in the name with (default for ....) is the old one, "Album default stylesheet" is the new one.

Re: Album - Templates works odd
thanks, changed to another template (pats ImageGallery) and now I get a popup windows which shows the phot you click on at 100% of it's size.
This is what i was looking for.
BTW, I was not able to find the new default template you are mentioning in the installated files, perhaps that was wrong with it ?

Re: Album - Templates works odd
My default template for the whole photo album module is set to "seperate_thumbnails" since this is what I normally use in my albums but there is some albums that I want to use a diffrent template for.RonnyK wrote: Dennis,

I have found the diffrent stylesheets in the stylesheet-list but I can't find how to attatch the stylesheets to the right templates. Albums templates isn't listed with the CMSMS templates, and below "photo album -> file templates" I can only find "View Default Stylesheet".
How do I change the setting for what stylesheet I want to use?
Versions:
CMSMS 1.0.2
album 0.8.2 (with the latest addons/patches from Elijha so that the "default_page template" is enabled and work perfect)

Re: Album - Templates works odd
A small addon to the last post from me:
I still don't know how (or if it's necesary) to change "Default Stylesheet" for Album, but now I have added "Album (for default, ImageGallery, and Thickbox templates)" to the templates I use for showing my photo albums. This solved the problem with the thumbnail-viewing problem, or at least it tries to view the thumbnails diffrent, but when I'm clicking the thumbnails the page still acts like crazy. Also the thumbnails that has comments or copyright info is looking odd.
Have a look here for viewing an example with greybox:

Have a look here for viewing an example with Thickbox:

Dennis,
maybe you could try linking the "Album default stylesheet" and add the code from the following link in it. This way you'll run with the latest CSS belonging to the version you have of Album.

Re: Album - Templates works odd
The one for Greybox is missing the CSS for it the CSS should have GB_something something in front of it, probably in the new style sheet...
The other one looks like you are trying to use a new feature he put in for someone that was looking for a way to put 2 diff. captions/descriptions in, try just using what would be the old style comments/captions/descriptions...

Re: Album - Templates works odd
When I look at the examples of Dennis, it seems likes he solved the problem. But I don't understand what he did.
I've imported the thickbox-with-prev-next-links and assigned it to my album. When I click on a photo it is showed at the bottom of the page an acts weired.
Because I made a clean install of the album I don't have old stylesheets in my list and I also don't understand how I have to change that, just like Dennis is wondering.
here is an example: http://baptistenhuizen.nl/staging/index.php?page=fotoalbums
(site is still under construction so don't laugh please
)
Can you help me?
Versions:
CMSMS 1.0.4
album 0.8.2

Re: Album - Templates works odd
Hi Dre!
Yes! My problems is solved now! It took me 3 weeks to get it solved but I had never been able to solve it without the people here in forum and in the chat.
First you have to add the "album stylesheet" to the template that you will insert the photo album in, otherwise Album dosn't know how to place the thumbnails or behave. Do like this:
templates -> click at the right side at the tiny yellow CSS icon of the template you want to add it for -> add the stylesheet: "Album stylesheet".
No laughs... my site had a big ugly sunflower for 1 month until I found out that the theme was not good enough and made everything from the beginning with help of this forum and looking at other peoples work + the original stylesheets. I didn't know much of templates and stylesheets back then and even less about scripts, but I have learned alot from all helpful people here!
The biggest problems I had where with builtin functions in greybox that wasn't looking the same in IE6 IE7 and Firefox + the listings of the thumbnails in IE6 + some modifications of the stylesheets.

Re: Album - Templates works odd
Wow, sorry about all the Stylesheet trouble guys.
I've figured out a way to make Album automatically use the Stylesheet without need for attaching. I guess I should really try to get a new release out with that feature. Hopefully over Spring Break..

Note: I don't have time to take on any more projects. I'm quite busy. I may be too busy to reply to emails or messages. Thanks for your understanding.

Did you customize the lightbox stylesheet or did you get it form something else?

It's a lightly customized greybox, not lightbox.
