Urgent Problem: Fatal Error on established site.

Post by sithstemple »

Hi.

There is a website I have been working on which has been using CMSMS successfully for about a year.

However, just today, I'm getting this error:

Code: Select all

Fatal error: Undefined class name 'loggermanager' in /home/sites/**********/public_html/plugins/prefilter.precompilefunc.php on line 21
I've checked everything on the Log4Php folder, and that all seems fine, but I am still getting the error.

The site is running on version 0.12.1, but my client does not want to upgrade, and is really giving me hassle about this.

Please help!!!!

Well, I don't know much about your context (hosting, OS, webserver, versions, parameters...) so it is hard to figure out what is going wrong. I hope I help you in providing two simple questions to your client :

1)If your car is still powered by a steam engine, how do you have it repaired when it breaks ?
2)Old software... old well known security bugs... easy defaceable website and rootkit installation... you don't care ?

0.12.1 does not have log4php.  That's from an older release.  If you look here, you'll see that line 21 has nothing to do with logging.

Sounds like that file got replaced with an older version for some reason or another (backup restoration?).  I would replace it with this and see if it goes away.

Though, it's hard to know how many other files were comprimised as well.
