Error uploading image to Photo Album

I have created a Photo Album on my test site and tried via admin to upload an image.

No matter what size of image I try to upload (my host has set the upload limit to 10MB and it has reported as such in the install check - although oddly it shows a red indicator), I get an error message saying the following:

There was an error uploading. Please check and make sure the folder is writable.

I am not sure what folder in particular it is talking about. I assume the Uploads/Images folder, but having tried setting the permissions on both the Uploads and Images folders to 666, that makes no difference - I still get the same error.

Any thoughts anyone?

Hi,

I had the same problem. my /uploads/Images folder was set for 775 and so I changed it to 777, and it worked. I hope this works for you. I hope that it doesn't create a security risk; I'm just trying to following directions on what the permission settings should be.
