News: links to detailed page

Is it possible to have only the headlines & dates of the news as a linked list, to use it - for example - as a container on several pages? As far as I could read from the search on this forum there are no links to detailed pages yet, right? There is a workaround, but it does not work for me since I am using clean urls and would like to keep this scheme.

I am using 0.10beta2 - maybe an upgrade to beta3 is recommended?!?

beta3 does have detail pages, however, it doesn't do any kind of clean urls for the detail page that are generated.
