I'm nearly ready with german translation and i need to make changes to the db and code because i want to have icons with phplayers.
I'm on 0.6 and need the changes for 0.6.3 but CVS seems to be not maintained well, so where to start with upgrades ?
Maybe i miss to read some postings of this forum, but anyway, if someone can help me with the necessary changes for 0.6.3 i'm willing to share my german translations.

Thanks for the interest in the doing the translation. We don't use cvs, but instead use subversion for our repository. It's definatly up to date and is what should be used for making translations.
We're in the process of getting 0.7 ready for release, but would gladly like a new translation for it.
If you need help checking out from subversion, let me know what platform you're on and we can work out getting it checked out.
Thanks!

If you're going to translate 0.7, could you also have look at the language files for the HTML editor? It can be found in:
/htmlarea/lang (I think there might already be a german translation)
but the editor plugins still need translations:
/htmlarea/plugins/..../lang
(for ImageManager look at the Dutch translation
since this includes more entries than the English one)
and since the ImageManager is also used in the file manager:
/filemanager/Imagemanager/lang
If all of these plugins are translated, you can change
$nls['htmlarea']['de'] = "en";
to
$nls['htmlarea']['de'] = "de";
and voila: a fully translated WYSIWYG editor. Be sure, though, to translate all plugins of them, or at least create a dummy file,
otherwise the editor will break.

german localization and changes
From what i saw the las modification is 3 weeks ago. Anyway, i got 0.7rc2 and replaced it all finally.
From 0.6 to 0.7rc2,
is there a diff file for lang ? Because from now i see some of these "add me's"
If also get
at 'Edit Content'
at 'Add Html Blob'
Warning: htmlentities(): charset `US-ASCII' not supported, assuming iso-8859-1 in /Volumes/Work/Sites/www.sipsurf.de/lib/page.functions.php on line 424
i also cant switch back from 'use syntax highligh...' in prefs
it says 'sorry, syntax highighting is not supported by your browser' and it
is switching always to 'true'. can no more editing my templates with firefox on mac osx right now. i will try to fix this myswelf..

There is a little syntax highlighting applet that was added. It has some compatibility issues, though. Don't know why it doesn't say false, though. It should.
As for charset, it should be ISO-8859-1 for .de.
If you send me your current language file, I can run my script that will add the missing lines to what you have. Then, I'll commit it and give you the url to grab the file. You can add what lines you didn't do yet and resend it to me. Kind of confusing, but not a huge deal.
Send it to wishy (at) cmsmadesimple (dot) org.
Thanks!
