FCKeditor problem with images

Post by pumuklee »

hi

i read all the threads with fckeditorx about the problems to insert images
and i try that:
-File Creation Mask (umask): to empty field
-file and directory permissions to 777 in linux

the problem:
-in image manager i can see the images
-but in fckeditor/image info/browse server folder is empty when i want to insert an image
-also i cannot create folders - no error message, just no results
-the upload function also doing nothing

but in fckeditorx at image insert we have a menu: imgae info | link | upload | advanced
the upload menu doing right - uploads the images, alert when the image exist...

strange because it has all the permissions

any ideea
thanks

hi

i found a solution
i use tinyMCE and it works fine

so i recommend to insert tinyMCE and use it

in user preferences u can set tinyMCE by the default WYSIWYG
obviously after you installed tinyMCE

and tiny doesnt make mistakes with the path of the pictures

thats all folks

I had a similar problem. When I would try to insert an image, I would click on the Browse Server button and nothing would happen. I was getting a object missing js error.

I downloaded the FCKEditor from the website and replaced the following folder:
/modules/FCKeditorX/FCKeditor/editor/dialog/
with the one I just downloaded.

It works for me now  ;D
