Wordpress/xml import into news?

I currently have a blog hosted on WordPress with around 160 posts (with some comments, though not a lot). I'd like to import those into my new CMSMS site. I've exported the WordPress blog into an xml file using their built-in export function. But, I have no clue how I might go about importing that into my new site.

I'm more than happy to put in categories, etc. manually, but the thought of having to cut and paste 160 posts, set the dates, set the categories, etc. is not something I want to do. I've got a lot of content that I really want to include in the new site, but just have no idea how to go about it.

I know pretty close to nothing about xml (okay, absolutely nothing), but am pretty familiar with PHP and MySQL (and my husband is VERY proficient in both).

The original blog site is http://greenstyle.wordpress.com.

The new site is http://www.greenstylemag.com

Any ideas on how to do this?

Also, is there a way to post news items under multiple categories, or do I need to use a different module for that? If a different module is needed, then I'd need to know how to import my blog entries into that instead.
