Album design within my templates/stylesheets

Post by osn »

I am using Album v. 0.7.4 and I'm using the template separate thumbnails.
As you can see at photo1, I'm using 2 content areas (sometimes in left side sometimes in right side, I have some diffrent albums) and this is exactly the way I want it to be.

Now to my problem: When I am viewing the photos there is still 2 content areas (ofcourse there is, since it's run as a module within the same template/stylesheet) but this is my problem because I want to have the whole page available when I view photos but to have the look when there is 2 content areas when I view the thumbnails. Is it possible to solve this somehow?

Reason? I want to have as big photos as possible to avoid my page to look like photo2 or like it looks in Firefox when the photo is outside the whole content area.

To see it in action: http://dartfrog.tk/cms/index.php?page=lehmanni
I'm working alot with the page now so it might be looking diffrent at the link than at the photos.

Please, help me! I don't know how to do to solve this.

This should hopefully solve your problem:
1. In the Admin Panel go to: Content » Photo Albums
2. Click on the "Options" tab.
3. Uncheck the box next to "Check this box to show the content of the page with the Album tag above all pictures."

This feature will be off by default in the next version of Album.

Hope this helps,

Elijah

Thank you for a fast answer Elijha, but I can't see any diffrence in the behavor with the larger photos after I unchecked that box. Please try by yorself at: http://dartfrog.tk/cms/index.php?page=lehmanni

Is it possible to set the album to start within one of my site-templates (for the view with thumbs) and to set the single photos full view to to show within another one of my site-templates where I have removed that side-content info column and only is using a column for the whole page?

I've just added a detailpage parameter which should allow you to do exactly what you want: http://viewsvn.cmsmadesimple.org/viewsv ... m&view=rev

You can add the page alias of a page with a different template as the value of the 'detailpage' parameter.

Or you can try an AJAX template such as GreyBox (default in next version of Album), or lightbox.
Example of Greybox here: http://www.elijahlofgren.com/pictures/west-africa/

I plan to release a new version of Album that includes the detailpage parameter today.

Thank you Elijha! I think I'll try that detail page settings first since I would like to keep the albums to keep the look of my site. I agree to that this greybox would solve my problems but I think that kind of albums fits better for other kind of sites like pure photo sites or mabie a band promote site and so on, but I guess it's possible to change it after my needs if I'm interested in it. Anyway, I'll try the detail page settings first if I find out how to do :)

By the way, those photos you have at your website from some park could just as well had been here in South Sweden. Exactly the same nature here :)

I have looked at the dartfrog site an my oh  my I like what I see, it's exactly as I'd like have my album.

Would it be possible that you grant me a copy of your template and stylesheet for the album so I can do the same on my site ?

I know it not such a nice site as yours but what the heck.

Thanks for helping me.

Click on the "File Templates" tab and install the lightbox.tpl template.

Hope this helps,

Elijah
Edit: And make sure you have album 0.8.2: http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/frs/showno ... ase_id=721
